Since 2001, FIDENS has sponsored a group home for 16 needy boys called Cidade dos Meninos (Boys’ Town) of the Sociedade São Vicente de Paulo, in the city of Ribeirão das Neves, Minas Gerais, a project of the Association for the Human Promotion of Divine Providence (APHDP). Boys from needy families, between the ages of 12 and 16, attend classes during the day, and also receive meals and professional training. In addition to the middle and high school education, the students are prepared for the labor market in vocational courses.

On a parallel basis, FIDENS also uses the Rouanet Law (8.313/91) of Incentive to Culture and the Fund for Children and Adolescents (FIA) to support cultural, music and arts & crafts projects developed by the APHDP. The goal of the initiative it to make it possible to develop artistic abilities in the learners, promoting integration and socialization among young people and benefiting them with learning and strengthening of values like discipline, dedication and cooperation.

Every year, FIDENS participates in the Cidade dos Meninos Annual Barbecue and of the Vip dinner, events that are designed to raise funds for projects of the Divine Providence Association. The funds raised at the 2006 Barbeque were destined for the construction of an advanced computer technology center in the central area of Belo Horizonte, to meet the needs of the poor.
