FIDENS’s commitment to the occupational health and safety of its employees is formally laid out in its Business Management Policy, and is certified by international standard OHSAS 18001: 1999.
 
The certification supports the practices and behaviors carried out by the company with respect to ensuring the physical and emotional integrity of its employees. Presently, FIDENS complies with the most rigorous standards adopted by its employees at the worksites which, for the most part, already have OHSAS 18001 certification.

FIDENS measures its Occupational Health and Safety performance (SSO) based on several indicators like:

- frequency rate of accidents with injuries and with lost time (ALCPT);
- frequency rate of accidents with injuries without lost time (ALSPT);
- Monitoring of incidents;
- Control of Safety training;

- Compliance with SSO legislation
